Blooming good fun sprouting at community garden

Tea Girl Scouts worked in the garden last week, planting a variety of flowers and vegetables.

The Tea Community Garden, now in its third year, is getting plenty of attention from gardeners of all ages and skill levels this season. The 52-plot garden is located west of Trinity Lutheran Church on First Street.

“This garden is just to provide a space for area residents that want a garden of their own, but have no place to plant one. Some live in apartments, some have very small yards or do not want to till up a part of their yard and some have soil that is not conducive to gardening,” explained Margaret Larsen, a Trinity Lutheran member that organizes the community garden signup each spring.
