David Mettler, part of the Homes for Heroes nationwide real estate program and Shawna Klienwolterink, with Plains Commerce Bank and a mortgage specialist with Homes for Heroes were in Tea on Monday, March 11 to announce the Tea Fire Department Hero Award.
Mettler thanked Derek Gors for inviting the Hero team to the Tea Fire station.
Mettler explained that since the program’s inception over 26,000 Heroes have been served by over 2,500 real estate and mortgage specialists in all 50 states. He said locally in the past five years he and Klienwolterink have been able to help over 125 local Heroes in the Sioux Empire save close to $250,000. Saving money was just the start, as they have partnered together to create the Sioux Empire Hero Award.
Klienwolterink then took center stage to announce the evening’s Hero recipient — Angie Munce.
