Lincoln County Covid-19 cases rise



COVID-19 cases are on the rise in Lincoln County. Since last week’s edition, 29 positive cases have been added, bringing Lincoln County’s total of positive COVID-19 cases to 376 as of Wednesday, July 8.


Of those, 40 are currently active. The active case numbers have been rising as well, the lowest number of active cases in the last two months was 22 active cases, and that was recorded on June 4.


In Lincoln County there are 335 recovered cases. Patients ever-hospitalized in the county is at 25. One death is listed in Lincoln County.


Lincoln County is still defined as having substantial community spread.


The number of positive COVID-19 cases in the state of South Dakota are at 7242 as of Wednesday, July 8, of those, 864 are active cases. A total of 6280 patients have recovered from the virus. Deaths in South Dakota due to COVID-19 have risen to 98. Currently hospitalized in South Dakota for the virus are 54 patients.
