Jack Jacobson, a 1996 graduate of Lennox High School, was elected as president of the Washington, D.C. State Board of Education last week. He will serve a one-year term with the possibility of a one-year extension in 2016. He will also continue to serve a four-year term as the Ward 2 representative, a post he claimed in 2013.
“The best thing for students is high-quality, dedicated teachers, something South Dakota is full of and something I hope to bring more of to D.C. schools,” Jacobson said.
