The City of Tea began preliminary talks with Harrisburg and Worthing officials in mid-December 2014 about
sharing the cost of a regional wastewater treatment plant to benefit the three communities.
The possibility will be evaluated through a study, to be completed by Banner Associates, Inc. of Sioux Falls. The company will examine the feasibility of the treatment facility with consideration of two discharge locations, Beaver Creek to the north of Worthing and the Big Sioux River to the east of Harrisburg.
