Tea Steak House in national spotlight once again
If you’ve yet to have a meal at the Tea Steak House, you’re missing out. Don’t just take the word of a resident for it - culinary enthusiasts nationwide also agree.
Known for its legendary, delicious cuts of beef, the Steak House has gained national attention once again. The restaurant’s massive Porterhouse T-Bone recently made a Tabelog article featuring the 11 largest steaks in America. It came in at No. 10 with a weight of 30 ounces or more. Owners Jesse and Lisa Ihnen couldn’t be more pleased.
“We are very honored to have been chosen as No. 10 of the ‘11 Largest Steaks in America,’” said Lisa. “Since the Tea Steak House is over 51 years old, it is especially thrilling to be recognized and appreciated for what we do here in the community of Tea.”
This is only the latest of a long line of recommendations, as Ihnen was also quick to mention other highlights from Non-Chain Steak House, Roadfood.com and Splendid Table.org, as well.
“We are very fortunate to have our business in South Dakota where beef is at its best.”
However, South Dakota raised cows aren’t the only secret ingredients. It takes proper aging and expert grilling, too.
“We ‘Ihnen Age’ our steaks in the loin for several weeks and then grill them on a 500 degree flat top grill that sears the steak, and locks in the juices, and makes our steaks not only large but juicy and flavorful too.”
It’s enough of a description to get the mouth watering.
Customers have also taken notice of the new publicity, and have remarked on the size of the Steak House’s large Sirloin and Rib-eyes, as well. There’s no table shrinkage with any dish.
“It is great to be mentioned anywhere that people can see that we are still here, and hopefully gets them to try the Tea Steak House if they have never been here before,” said Ihnen. “[It] brings them back if it has been a while since they have been.”
