Library receives grant from Tea Area Community Foundation
The Tea Community Library celebrated a “Big Check” presentation during its recent open house this past Saturday, showcasing the positive impact of a $710 grant from the Tea Area Community Foundation.
A portion of the grant was designated for door prizes, adding an exciting element to the open house.
The librarians, pictured above alongside some of the door prizes, expressed their gratitude for the foundation’s generosity, emphasizing the positive impact such contributions have on community events.
In addition to the open house festivities, the grant will play a crucial role in bringing joy to the younger members of the community. The Tea Community Library will use part of the funds to finance a magic show for the children’s program scheduled for this summer. This thoughtful allocation aligns with the library’s commitment to providing educational and entertaining experiences for the younger audience.
The Library will also be providing fun for their younger audience next Saturday, Dec. 16 when Santa comes for a visit. “Visit with Santa” day will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Tea Community Library. Families are invited to bring their little ones to share their Christmas wishes with Santa Claus himself. It’s a magical opportunity for children to experience the wonder of the season, and parents are encouraged to capture the moment with photos.
For those inspired to contribute to the Tea Area Community Foundation and support initiatives like these, donations can be made online at http://www.sfacf.org/tea or by mailing a check to TACF at PO Box 153, Tea, SD, 57064.
The “Big Check” presentation at the Library serves as a visual representation of the positive impact that community foundations can have on local initiatives.
