14U wrap up season going 2-2 at State Tournament

The 14U Titans wrapped up their season with a strong showing at the Class A State Tournament, finishing 2-2 against some of the state’s top competition.

The Titans opened the weekend with an exciting 18-15 victory over Yankton, followed by a tough loss to tournament host Pierre. Tea bounced back in dominant fashion with a 19-4 win over Brookings to advance to Championship Sunday. Their season came to a close in a hard-fought 9-6 loss to Palace City Baseball Association.

Offense remained one of the team’s biggest strengths throughout the tournament, totaling 44 hits in four games. Miles Jelen put together an outstanding State Tournament, collecting multiple extra-base hits in every game. He finished with two doubles, three triples, 19 total bases, five stolen bases, and consistently produced in the middle of the lineup, helping ignite the offense from start to finish.

Declan Schramm was another key contributor, delivering timely hits throughout the weekend. He highlighted the tournament with a four-RBI performance against Brookings, finished with multiple extra-base hits, and continued to provide a steady presence both offensively and defensively.

Kayden Mueller also played a major role in the Titans’ success, leading the opening-round victory over Yankton with five RBIs while adding another three-hit game against PCBA. He also earned the win on the mound against Brookings to help send the Titans into Championship Sunday.
