Phase 3 Athletic Complex work set for spring
Tea City Council members voted unanimously to green-light the proposed third phase of the Tea Athletic Complex at their Feb. 2 meeting. Prior phases of the project included flex field expansions and the construction of the first of two facilities to house concessions and restrooms, storage and picnic areas.
Work will continue this spring on the 49-acre complex on the areas marked within the red border on the map at right. A portion of the phase three work began last fall with the demolition and removal of the city’s last grain elevator. The elevator’s removal will allow plans to move forward on the main parking area for the complex, which will contain at least 350 spaces.
