Building boom: Investing in Tea's growth

Above: Schwartzle Construction is at work on eight 4-plex units north of 271st Street and Main Avenue, representing 41 percent of the local multi-unit housing market. The company is also building 25 percent of the city’s single family homes.
The city issued a five-year record high number of multi-housing building permits in 2014. A breakdown of the data shows Schwartzle Construction is a clear frontrunner in the race to invest in Tea’s multi-housing building boom.
The company has signed on to build eight 4-plex units, which accounts for 32 of a total of 79 multi-family units permitted by the city in 2014 and represents about 40 percent of the local market share multi-family buildings with an estimated value of just under $3 million.
