New exhibits at Tea museum

The Tea Area Historical Society recently announced new exhibits at the museum the group operates out of the Tea Community Hall at 200 W. Maple St. The building used to be a church. Now, the “hall” portion of it is used by the Historical Society for meetings on the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. The Tea Lions also meet there on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. Other events throughout the year are hosted in the building, from weekly community card games, to pancake feeds and health fairs, to Ma and Pa Teapot ceremonies during each summer’s Teapot Days festival.

One section of the building serves as a dedicated museum. It is here that the history of Tea is preserved.
