Teacher of the Year nominations due April 10

The Tea Area School District and the Tea Area Parent Teacher Organization are co-sponsoring the second annual Teacher of the Year award. Nominations will be accepted at the District Education Center through Friday, April 10.

Applications may be picked up at any of the four school offices or on the District’s webpage. All Nominations may be dropped off or mailed to the District Education Center (131 N. Poplar Ave, P.O. Box 488, Tea, SD 57064) or emailed to Wendie.Morehead@k12.sd.us.

Tea Area School District teachers may be nominated by a colleague, parent, administrator, student, self or community member. All nominations must include the application. Nominations may also include up to three letters of recommendation. The criteria for selection include the following characteristics:

• Commitment to lifelong learning

• Impact on student achievement

• Rapport with Students & Parents

• Involvement in Community & District
