Miss S.D. contestants will “Spark the Fire” June 18-20

Tea’s Brittanie Venard, 22, to compete

Young women from across the state will arrive in Hot Springs on June 14 to begin rehearsals for the 69th annual Miss South Dakota Pageant. After four days of rehearsals, the preliminary competitions will be June 18 and 19, and the finals will be held June 20.

The pageant theme this year is “Spark the Fire – Hip, Hot and Glamorous.”

Brittanie Venard of Tea, 22, Miss South Dakota State University, will participate in the competition. Her talent will be lyrical dance.
