The Titan High School football team welcomes back 19 returning letter winners, eight starters on offense and five on defense. Among those back on the field this season with be Zach Gors, pictured above. The Titans open their season on Friday, Aug. 28 at home against Parkston. They will participate in a scrimmage on Friday, Aug. 21 at 8 p.m.
Tea Area Titans set to return to the field, Aug. 28
Friday, Aug. 21 fans of the Tea Area Titan football team will get their chance to see the team in action during a scrimmage scheduled that evening at 8 p.m. at the Titan Football Stadium. This will be a sneak peek for fans before the Titans open their regular season on Friday, Aug. 28 at home against Parkston.
The team will once again be under the direction of Craig Clayberg who holds a career record of 25-24 with the Titans.
Last season the Titans finished 4-5 getting wins over Elk Point Jefferson, Vermillion, Sisseton, and Dakota Valley. The Titans fell in playoffs last season to Vermillion, 20-17.
This year the Titans will return 19 letter winners, eight starters on offense and five on defense.
“We have a really close group of players that play a lot of sports together,” said Clayberg. “Team camaraderie is a big plus for us.”
