Brian Schwartz named grand prize winner in football contest

With 225 people playing The Lennox Independent/Tea Weekly’s third annual online football contest, Brian Schwartz of Lennox emerged as the overall winner. Schwartz, whose online name was SKOL Vikings, finished with an overall record of 171-85, this earned him the Kindle Fire HD7.
It was a tight battle to the end with Tea’s Keith Ernster finishing right behind with a 170-85 record.
Schwartz also captured third place honors nationally winning him a $250 Athlon Sports collectibles gift certificate. Ernster finished fifth nationally and finishing third in the local contest and 15th nationally was Thomas Ries (Tommy2112) of Tea who had a 166-90 record.
