New business sells furniture, appliances at discount

The Find opened its doors March 18 at 1303 N. Carla Ave. on the north end of Tea.

Owner Justin Quigley opened the business to supply the area with brand new furniture from Wayfair, new TVs by Samsung, LG, Sony, Sharp and NEC and scratch and dent appliances from LG, all at discount prices.

“We kind of looked at a couple of different markets and noticed there’s really nothing like this in the area, which is what kind of prompted us to look a little further into it,” said Quigley, who runs the business with his wife, Jessica, Tea’s police chief. “After looking further into it, we realized there might be a pretty strong need for what we’re selling around here.”

Quigley gets all of the LG appliances from an LG warehouse in Illinois. He buys a truckload of scratch and dent appliances and when they arrive at his store, he unloads them, tests everything and cleans them up for sale. He said the appliances have been marked down a minimum of 45 percent and up to 60 percent off retail.

“Everything’s tested. We make sure everything operates. If we do know that there’s something wrong with it we disclose it,” he said.

All of the furniture comes out of Kentucky from Wayfair. It is all brand new but is discounted to at least 50 percent off.

As for the electronics, they discount them anywhere from 30-35 percent up to 60-70 percent off retail.

Within the next month, Quigley hopes to expand into the suite to the south of his current space. Doing so will make more space for the appliances on one side and the furniture and electronics on the other side.

Quigley said he chose to open this business in Tea because he already has his recruiting business there and The Find is in a great location.

“We chose Tea because the location is great. It’s right off the interstate. The facility we have right now has a nice big open parking lot,” he said.
