Candidates turn in petitions; Mayor only contested race

The City of Tea election has been set for April 10, 2018. Petitions were filed last week by the potential candidates for the open city terms. Running for Mayor, at large, two year term, will be John Lawler (incumbent) and Douglas Putnam.

For the other open seats, one petition was received for each vacancy except for Ward I, which had no petitions returned.

Those to take seats on the council include: City Council Ward II, two year term, Joe Weis (incumbent) and City Council Ward III, two year term, Todd Boots (incumbent).

The Tea Area School Board of Education will hold their election on June 19, 2018. Board member positions for Conrad Pick and Todd Irvine will be up for re-election. Information on running for school board will be published at a later date.
