TAHS Marching Band places second at first competition of the season


The Tea Area High School Titan marching band kicked off their fall season with a Homecoming performance on Sept. 14. Their second showing was a marching competition in Parker at the Parker Pheasant Marching Festival on Friday, Sept. 21. The Titans competed in Class AA at Parker and earned second place, behind first place West Central.

This week the Titan Marching Band had three appearances. They traveled to Arlington on Thursday, Sept. 27. Both the High School and Middle School bands will travel to Beresford this Friday, Sept. 28 and the High School Marching Band will travel to Luverne, MN on Saturday, Sept. 29.

On Oct. 5, the middle school and high school bands will be attending the Chester Lake Area Band Festival in Chester. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on the main highway and go through town.

On Saturday, Oct. 6, the Titan Marching Band will travel to Sioux Falls to participate in the Festival of Bands.
