Tea Scout Pack 99 learns with four-legged visitors from Prairie Dogs Search & Rescue

Visitors from the Prairie Dogs Search and Rescue organization came and gave an educational and interactive presentation to Pack 99 during on of their regular meetings.

The canine guests made their grand appearance and Pack 99 had a tail-wagging good time. The search and rescue dogs paid a visit to the Pack and taught the Scouts a variety of interesting facts about these types of dogs and also etiquette on how to behave and act when around dogs that are working.

The Scouts learned about the different types of search dogs, including the important distinction between area search dogs and tracking dogs (area dogs search for a scent in an area, or are called air-scent dogs, while tracking dogs, also called trailing dogs, search on a found trail).
