Expectations high for Titans boys

Several athletes on the Tea Area High School boys’ basketball team are no strangers to success. In fact, many of them have already earned State Championship honors this year, some in soccer, some in football and some in both. There are also several members returning from the 2017 State A Championship basketball team and last year’s State A Runner-Up team.

“Our expectations are very high,” said Titan head coach Chris Fechner. “We have an experienced team returning with some very skilled guys ready to step in and take on bigger roles.”

Last season, Noah Freidel led the team’s offense averaging 25 points per game and grabbing six rebounds per game. The 6’4” senior guard has recently signed with Wright State University a Divi- sion I school, to continue his basketball career. He is just one of the weapons on the Titans’ roster.

Justin Hohn, a 6’1” senior guard, has also signed to play Division I ball heading out to UC Irvine next year. Hohn averaged ten points per game, six assists per game and three steals per game, sparking the Titans’ defense last year.
