The Tea Volunteer Fire Department recognized three of its members in February.
Brayden Fowlds was named Cadet of the Year. Fowlds, 17, is in his third year as a cadet. As a cadet, he works so that everybody has the tools that they need.
“It’s basically doing the little stuff to make the bigger stuff easier,” Fowlds said.
Fowlds, who is a junior at Tea Area High School, has been around the fire department since before he could walk and has been a part of the cadet program since he was 14.
