Thanks to the generosity of community sponsors, the Tea Area Lady Titans Soccer team is excited to bring the World of Freestyle Soccer to Tea.
Three time Canadian Freestyle Soccer Champion, Jaime “Magnet” Bruno, along with ten time Guiness World Record holder, Laura Biondo, and World Champion, Steve Elias, will be bringing a powerful Anti-Bullying presentation to the Tea Area High School athletic complex on Saturday, Aug. 10, beginning at 6 p.m.
The group has traveled all over North America putting on soccer shows that teach kids about bullying.
“No one is immune from being bullied,” said Cheri Anderson, organizer of the event. “It’s such a tough message to talk about to a crowd too. But seriously, how cool will it be to have world renowned athletes coming to Tea, SD. And, they are bringing an anti-bully message through one of my favorite sports, soccer,” Anderson added.
The use of freestyle soccer, which is acrobatic and athletic moves with a soccer ball, combined with a character-building message and anti-bullying, is sure to be an event that will be powerful for the young and old.
As a added bonus, the presentation will not only teach kids about bullying and the harm it can do, but also will help get them excited for the upcoming soccer season. The Lady Titans will kick-off their season on Friday, Aug. 16.
Even though the event is being offered free of charge to the public, those wishing to attend are still asked to reserve their seat at https://www.eventbrite.com/freestylesoccer.
A freewill donation will be taken at the event as well.
The event is sponsored by: Affordable Pest Technicians, Billion Automotive, Children’s Dental Center, Dakota Sports, Detailed Builders, Fitness First of Tea, Fox Print, Jensen Insurance, Knutson Firearms, Koch Insurance, Kolb Family, Metro Construction, Midco, NB Golf Car Sioux Falls, Nielsen Construction, Reliabank, Ruiter Gravel Hauling, Scheels, Simons Flooring, SM Equipment LLC, Tea Weekly, Midco, and Weisser Distributing.
The freestyle soccer athletes will also be sharing their message and talents with the Children’s Home Society while in the area.
