Hyland, LeKander crowned Homecoming King and Queen
During Monday night’s 17th Annual Tea Area Titans Homecoming Coronation Ceremony Jacob Hyland and Lexi LeKander were crowned the 2019 King and Queen.
The Coronation event included special music by the High School Concert Choir, a performance by the high school band and football cheerleaders, and an outstanding rendition of the well-known Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper duet “Shallow” by Lexi LeKander, John Niesen and Janice Gilbert.
Introducing the royalty candidates were Ellie Ritter and Jaya Wilson. TAHS Homecoming Royalty candidates include: Bailey Conrad, Lexi LeKander, Dez Patzwald, Aspen Taylor, Brooklyn Willemssen, PJ Parmelee, Max Peterson, Brayden Thompson, Jacob Hyland and Nate Blegen. The 2018 King and Queen, Kade Stearns and Karlie Heidinger were in attendance to crown this year’s royalty.
Coaches of all the fall sports also addressed the crowd in attendance.
Next up for Titan fans is the Homecoming parade on Friday, Oct. 18 at 1:30 p.m. The parade route starts at the Tea Area High School and will head east on Brian St., then south on Main Ave., then west on Charish St., and lastly head north back to the High School on Cole Ave.
Also on Friday, the Tea Area Titan Football team will take on Milbank for their Homecoming match-up with kick-off set for 7 p.m.
