American Bank & Trust opened in its new location on Heritage Parkway on April 28.
Construction started on Aug. 26. The last day in the old location on First & Main was April 25.
Kathy Graff, market manager in Tea, invites everyone to the bank’s open house on June 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will be giving away a ranger finder, Yeti cooler, Bluetooth speaker and golf cart. Join them for lunch, a ribbon cutting and bank tours.
Graff, who has been with American Bank & Trust for a year and a half and banking for more than 20 years, said those coming into the bank will notice a more modern feel with more space to serve customers. The new location has more office space.
“They have the privacy with their bankers but still have that warm welcoming feel,” Graff said. “There are a lot of us that miss the old branch because of the character and just the history of Valley Exchange that we’re so proud of and that we were able to make that transition with them, but at the same time we want to continue to grow in the Tea community and we’re excited where that will take us with the new location.”
In addition to Graff, they have a business development officer, business banker, personal banker and two universal bankers. Plus, they have space for their partners, like mortgage, treasury management, trust and private banking, to meet with customers at the Tea branch.
While no services have changed, customers will notice a difference to the drive-up. One lane is the ATM lane. The other lane has switched to a digital video screen.
“That’s been a little bit of an adjustment but the customers I think are getting used to it,” Graff said.
Graff said they are enjoying their new location and invite everyone to join them for the grand opening June 26.
“We love our location. We’ve got amazing neighbors. I think we’re easily accessible and now we’re more visible,” Graff said.
