Bacon Run to support Junior Achievement

Before the festivities of Tea Chamber’s Saturday in the Park begin on Aug. 16, lace up your running shoes and head to Tea City Park for the JA Bacon Run, a fun event that supports a great cause—Junior Achievement (JA) programs for Tea Area students. The event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16 at Tea City Park (239 E. Brian Street) with registration beginning at 8 a.m. and the run/walk starting at 8:30 a.m. Participants can choose from a 5K Fun Run or a 1-Mile Walk, with bacon treats and Bloody Marys (for those 21 and older) served afterward to celebrate the morning’s efforts.

Registration fees are as follows: 5K Fun Run (Adults): $45; 5K Fun Run (17 & Under): $35; 1-Mile Walk (All Ages): $25

Register online. Proceeds from the run will help fund Junior Achievement lessons and experiences for students in the Tea Area.
