Yours On The Spot, located at 2003 Industrial St., Suite 4, in Tea, is a locally owned custom apparel and merchandise business led by founder and CEO Roxie Kelly. With roots dating back nearly three decades, the business has grown from a small home operation into a full-service customization company serving customers across the region.
Yours On The Spot began in 1995 as a home-based business, where Kelly created custom t-shirts for brides and their wedding parties while also offering bridal alterations and custom sewing. Over time, the business expanded into school fan gear for local teams and developed an online presence to reach a wider audience.
A turning point came in 2007 following an on-site event that showcased the power of creating personalized merchandise in real time. That experience sparked a new focus on custom merchandise and event-based printing, paving the way for continued growth. After years of expansion, Yours On The Spot opened its first retail storefront in 2022.
“In 2024, we expanded into a bigger, brighter space on the edge of Sioux Falls in Tea, to provide an even better shopping experience,” said Kelly.
Today, Yours On The Spot specializes in embroidery, screen printing, direct-to-film transfers, bulk orders, team-branded gear, custom webstores and on-site printing for events.
“Whether you’re looking for a special item, outfitting the whole team, or selecting items for a custom webstore, we make it happen with style, speed, and service that goes above and beyond. We’ve come a long way, and the best is yet to come,” added Kelly.
What sets the business apart is its fast turnaround times, high-quality products and flexibility. From single custom items to large corporate orders and pop-up event shops, the team works closely with customers to deliver personalized results that meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
“Our personalized service, attention to detail, and flexibility—whether creating embroidered pieces, running event pop-up shops, or fulfilling print-on-demand orders—ensure customers get exactly what they need, when they need it,” said Kelly.
The biggest challenge, Kelly says, has been getting the word out about everything they offer.
“We set up booths at numerous events throughout the year to connect with new customers and spread the word about everything we offer,” added Kelly.
The Yours On The Spot team includes Production Manager Sara and Webstore Manager Andrew, along with approximately nine part-time employees who assist with on-site events throughout the year. Among the most popular offerings are custom t-shirts and hoodies for local teams and businesses.
Looking ahead, the company plans continued growth and expanded services, including the launch of laser-engraved products to provide even more customization options.
Kelly says being part of the Tea community is especially meaningful. “We love the small-town feel and the friendly community.”
