Heier’s flag design selected to represent SD at National Art Educators Conference

Several area art students from across the state recently submitted flag designs for the Youth Art Month Flag contest. This contest is held by the Council for Art Education which coordinates with the Youth Art Month at the national level. Using the national or state theme, each state coordinates a flag design contest and selects one design to be flown at the Youth Art Month Museum at the National Art Educators annual Conference which will be held this year in April.

Selected to represent South Dakota was Tea Area High School art student Dominick Heier.

Heier’s design will be flown at the National Conference to be held in San Antonio, Texas. The Tea Area School District will also receive a copy of the design which they can display in the school.
