Homecoming to be celebrated Sept. 22-27
Homecoming festivities begin this weekend with the tLINK Kickball Tournament at the Tea City Athletic Complex from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22. That evening, beginning at 6:30 p.m. a Powderpuff Football game will be played at the football field.
The Theme for this year’s Homecoming is “Road Trip”.
Festivities continue on Monday, Sept. 23 with Coronation taking place at the high school gym, beginning at 7 p.m. One of the highlights of that event is the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen.

On Tuesday, Sept. 24 events continue with the Varsity boys’ golf team traveling to Watertown for a 10 a.m. meet. At 4 p.m. a double header soccer match-up against Sioux Falls Jefferson gets underway.
The varsity boys are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. followed by the girls at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m. on Tuesday, the Titan volleyball team will host Watertown in the high school gym with varsity beginning at 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, Sept. 25 Seniors and the Homecoming Court will go on Elementary Building Tours and lunch visit.
On Thursday, Sept. 24 the Titan cross country team will compete at the Edgebrook Golf Course at 4 p.m.
On Friday, Sept. 25 a Pep Rally will be held at the high school at 11:30 a.m.
The Tea Area Homecoming Parade will take place on Friday, Sept. 25 at 1:30 p.m. Parade line-up will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Tea Area Middle School parking lot. Parade line-up will occur in the order in which floats arrive.
The parade route is featured above at left, and will move east on Brian Street from the Middle School, head south on Main Ave., west on Charish Street and north on Cole Ave (returning to the Middle School parking lot).
Following Friday afternoon’s parade the Tailgating will begin in the high school parking lot at 4:30 p.m. There will be a Hall of Fame Reception at the football field at 5 p.m. The Titan football game against Mitchell will kick-off at 6 p.m. that evening.
There will be dress-up days throughout the week as well. High School and middle school students will have Jersey Day on Monday, Sept. 23; USA Day Tuesday, Sept. 24; Pajama Day on Wednesday, Sept. 25; Western Day on Thursday, Sept. 26; and Titan Spirit Day on Friday, Sept. 25.
