J&R Mechanical launches free furnace giveaway to support local families in need

As temperatures drop, one Tea business is once again stepping up to bring warmth and hope to families facing difficult circumstances. J&R Mechanical, owned by Josh Chapman, has announced the return of its annual Free Furnace Giveaway, a community-driven effort to help a household in need stay safe and warm this winter.

Chapman said the tradition has become one of the most meaningful parts of the company’s work.

“Every year, we are blessed to meet incredible families in our community,” Chapman shared. “Some face hardships that most of us cannot imagine — whether it’s a child battling cancer, a single parent doing everything they can to provide, or a family simply going through a tough season.”

As part of their commitment to giving back, J&R Mechanical will donate and install a brand-new furnace for one local family struggling to make ends meet.

“If you know a family struggling and who could truly benefit from a new furnace, we encourage you to nominate them,” Chapman said. 

“Please share their story with us — no detail is too small. Your nomination may help bring warmth, comfort, and hope to a household that needs it most,” Chapman added.

Community members can nominate a family by replying directly to the announcement or by emailing josh@j-rmechanical.com.

Chapman says the annual giveaway is just one way J&R Mechanical strives to support the area they call home.

“Thank you for being part of our community and for helping us spread kindness and support where it matters most,” he said. “Together, we can make a real difference.”

J&R Mechanical will select the recipient later this season.
