Legion Post 266 Memorial Day program to be held May 27
On Monday, May 27th, the Tea community will come together to honor and remember the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives in service to our country. The Memorial Day program will commence at 9:30 a.m. at the Legion Post 266, followed by a solemn cemetery ceremony.
The morning’s events will begin at the Legion, where attendees will gather to pay tribute to U.S. military personnel who have died in service to the nation. The ceremony will reflect on the profound sacrifices made by these individuals and their families.
After the program at the Legion, participants will proceed to the local cemetery for a continuation of the ceremony.
Following the cemetery ceremony, a social hour will take place back at the Tea Legion Post 266.
As we observe Memorial Day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have served and to those who continue to serve in the United States Armed Forces. Their dedication and ultimate sacrifice are deeply appreciated and will never be forgotten.
In addition to the Memorial Day events, the Tea community looks forward to the completion of the Tea Veterans Memorial in time for Teapot Days. The new pavers, currently being engraved, will be installed at the memorial over the coming weeks.
The Veterans Memorial Committee thanks the community for their patience as they finalize this significant project, which stands as a lasting tribute to our veterans.
