New Tea Post Master keeping pace with growth

A new post master has been sworn in at the Tea Post Office.

Myron Trejo took over postal services for the Tea community in February. Trejo’s experience includes four years as supervisor at the Post Office facility located in downtown Sioux Falls.

Trejo said his main focus is to keep up with the expansion of the Tea community. While most of the positions are filled, the office is still looking for a substitute rural carrier to take up part time hours.

Though they can only offer 10 to 15 hours a week at the Tea Post Office, more hours can be worked out between Tea and the Sioux Falls facility, Trejo said.

“A people person,” Trejo is excited to serve the Tea community and get to know the regulars who swing through the office.

He initially was filling in for the previous post master in February, but then applied for the position and was hired on.
