The Tea Chamber for Development is bringing back Saturday in the Park, a lively monthly gathering set to turn Tea City Park into a hub of activity every third Saturday from July through October. Running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the event combines a farmer’s market atmosphere with kid-friendly entertainment, live music, and community-building opportunities.

Launched to support local businesses and connect residents, Saturday in the Park offers something for everyone—from fresh flowers, produce, and homemade baked goods to unique crafts and specialty products. A special Kid Biz section will showcase budding young entrepreneurs who’ve created their own businesses, giving families a chance to support future business leaders.

The event’s vendor list continues to grow ahead of the first market day this Saturday, July 19. Past markets have featured everything from handmade pet products to boutique clothing and seasonal décor.

Beyond shopping, each Saturday in the Park features activities designed to keep families entertained — such as bouncy houses, fishing, dunk tanks, and other surprises. Each Saturday brings something new.  This Saturday, July 19 the Outdoor Campus will be at the Tea City Park Pond. Families are encouraged to join them for free family fishing. The Outdoor Campus will provide all the gear and bait, you just need to come ready to catch some fish. No registration is required for this event and all ages are welcome.

Food trucks will also line the park during the Saturday in the Park event offering breakfast and lunch options, while the Tea Chamber for Development will sell refreshments. Live music will also set the mood throughout the morning.

Since its debut last year, Saturday in the Park has quickly gained traction among Tea residents and visitors alike. Organizers hope this year’s events will attract even more people from Tea, Sioux Falls, and surrounding communities, building momentum for future gatherings and creating a vibrant space where local businesses, families, and nonprofits come together.
