The Tea community is gearing up for an evening full of holiday cheer, festive lights, and family fun as the 2nd Annual Tea Parade of Lights returns on Friday, Nov. 29. Events will run from 2 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., offering activities for all ages and plenty of opportunities to embrace the spirit of the season.

Festivities will take place at the Tea American Legion, with the parade route beginning at Tea High School. Floats will travel east along Brian Street before turning south on Main Avenue and making their way back to the Legion for the night’s grand finale, which includes a tree lighting ceremony, awards, and fireworks. This year’s event is hosted by the Tea Chamber for Development & Promotion and the Tea American Legion, with the fireworks show provided by KBOOM Fireworks.

The fun kicks off early at the Legion:

2–4 p.m.: Crafts, holiday movies, and photos with Santa

4:30–5:30 p.m.: Chili Cook-Off, where attendees can warm up with a variety of recipes and cast their vote for their favorite

6:15 p.m.: The Parade of Lights begins at Tea High School and follows the designated route back to the Legion

Once the parade concludes, the community is invited to gather around the tree as Santa himself leads the lighting ceremony. Parade awards will be presented in three categories: People’s Choice, Most Creative, and Brightest Lights. The evening will culminate with a fireworks display by KBOOM Fireworks.

Organizers encourage families to bundle up, grab some hot cocoa, and enjoy one of Tea’s most festive nights of the year.
