Owner and founder of Skin Sanctuary, Kristi Adams, brings her care-first philosophy to her growing business focused on education and long-term skincare.

When Kristi Adams opened the doors to Skin Sanctuary in 2024 next to Fareway Foods, she started with one treatment room, one provider, and a dream of creating something different from a traditional spa or medical clinic.

“I am a registered Nurse and licensed esthetician. Working in labor and delivery gave me the privilege of caring for women during some of the most important moments of their lives and that experience truly shaped the heart behind Skin Sanctuary,” Adams said.

As a mom of two herself, Adams wanted to create a space for people to slow down, feel cared for, and realize that taking care of themselves isn’t selfish - it’s essential.

“Our first location was small, but we started with one treatment room, one provider, and a dream of creating something different from a traditional spa or medical clinic,” she said.

Since 2024, Skin Sanctuary’s philosophy has always been education first believing clients deserve to understand their skin, feel empowered in their treatment plans, and never feel pressured into services they don’t need.

“Many people initially visit Skin Sanctuary to come and relax and enjoy the experience, but they stay because they see real results. We believe skincare should be both restorative and corrective. Our goal is to create an experience people look forward to because they understand the process and look forward to helping them build healthier skin for the long term,” Adams said.

For Adams, Skin Sanctuary is both a “treat yourself” experience as much as it is a maintenance service.

“Skin Sanctuary specializes in corrective and preventable skincare, including customized facials, DiamondGlow, microneedling, chemical peels, acne treatment programs, DMK Enzyme Therapy, dermaplaning, injectables such as Botox and SkinVive, and medical-grade skincare consultations. We also offer brow and lash services, waxing, and personalized home skincare routines because we believe great skin happens through consistency – not quick fixes,” she said.

The growing team, now consisting of an incredible team of nine has quickly grown out the space as they expand their wellness collection which includes consultations with our medical director to discuss hormones and internal concerns as well as IV services and advanced injectables.

“Our new home in Tea has allowed us to expand significantly while staying rooted in the same community that has supported us form the beginning,” Adams said.

The new location on 271st Street allows Skin Sanctuary to serve more clients while creating an experience that truly reflects their vision.

“We’ve expanded treatment rooms, added dedicated consultation and education spaces, increased retail offerings, and created a calmer, more luxurious environment where clients can truly disconnect from the everyday stress,” she said.

With an open house ceremony, Skin Sanctuary welcomed well over guests to the new location to show off their building and new features.

“The support from the Tea community exceeded every expectation that we had for our open house where guests toured the new facility, learned about our services, connected with local vendors, and celebrated this exciting new chapter with us. It was incredibly rewarding to see so many familiar faces alongside new community members discovering Skin Sanctuary for the first time,” Adams continued.

Adams encourages all to come in to relax and enjoy the services Skin Sanctuary has to offer.

“People are staying with us because they are seeing real results and this month we’re e highlighting introductory opportunities with our newest estheticians, allowing clients to experience our customized treatments while getting to know the newest members of our team. We’re also continuing to focus on individualized consultations so clients receive recommendations based on their unique skin goals rather than a one-size-fits-all approach,” she said.

Adams and her team are thankful for all the clients that have become like part of the family to Skin Sanctuary.

“Our clients are incredibly supportive – not just of us, but of one another. They celebrate each other’s skincare journeys, trust us enough to share their stories, and consistently refer their friends and family because they believe in what we’re doing. Many of our clients have been with us since the very beginning, and watching their confidence grow alongside our business has been one of the greatest blessings of this journey,” she continued.

Skin Sanctuary will continue to grow into their new space and combine clinical knowledge, education-based care and a welcoming environment where clients feel supported.

“We’ve been fortunate to build a business where clients aren’t just appointments on a schedule—they’re neighbors, friends, and families we’ve come to know personally. We’re incredibly grateful to call Tea home and are excited to continue growing alongside this wonderful community,” Adams said.
