Tea Area High School Choir students, Kimberlee Brockberg, Riley Clark, Sage Fanning, and Arden McGraw were selected to take part in the 51st Annual SD-ACDA Senior Honor Choir.
The event will be held on the campus of NSU in Aberdeen, July 20 through July 25th. Ashlyn Karpinen was selected as an alternate.
Students went through a rigorous audition process which included preparing, memorizing, and performing a solo in front of a judge, sight reading and tonal memory exercises, a patriotic solo, and a written terms test.
The students will spend the week at NSU with 150 of the best singers in South Dakota and the conductor, educator, and composer, Chris Maunu.
The honor choir will give a finale concert on Friday, July 25th at 7 pm.
