Tea Area Community Foundation awards grants
The Tea Area Community Foundation recently awarded nearly $9,000 in grants to help local nonprofit organizations.
“Our endowment fund continues to grow because of strong community support, allowing us to award grants for a variety of exceptional projects and causes that will truly make an impact,” the TACF announced. “Interest in our grants was exceptionally high, with applications far exceeding the amount of money that was available.”
The TACF typically presents the grants to recipients at its annual meeting in April, but opted to mail them for a second consecutive year because of the ongoing COVID pandemic. This is the 16th year that the foundation has awarded grants through its endowment fund to support projects and purchases that benefit and enhance the quality of life for Tea area residents.
“We sincerely thank the many businesses and individuals who have contributed to our endowment fund to make this possible. Your support is making such a positive impact in our community.”

Tea Community Food Distribution to purchase food through Feeding South Dakota to provide to families during monthly drive-through distributions
