Tea Area earns Superior rating at 2024 State One-Act Play Festival

Brandon Valley High School transformed into a hub of theatrical excellence this past week as it welcomed the 2024 State One-Act Play Festival.

Unlike traditional competitions where schools vie for top honors, the focus of this festival is on individual and collective excellence. Each year, judges bestow superior ratings upon outstanding individuals, ensembles, and overall plays.

Among the standout performances was Tea Area’s production of “The Other Room,” which captivated audiences with its compelling storytelling and impeccable execution, earning a Superior rating, 

“I am so incredibly proud of the cast and crew of their accomplishments at the State One Act Play Festival. It was so well deserved and capped a great season. They represented Tea Area High School with grace and educated their peers, staff, and community members on a topic that they all resonated with,” said Brooke Palleschi, One Act Play director.

Each member of the cast and crew of Tea Area’s production was honored with a Superior Acting Award and a Superior Tech Crew distinction, a testament to their unwavering dedication and exceptional skill.

The following individuals from Tea Area were celebrated for their outstanding achievements earning Superior Individuals: Jaxon Johanneson, Avianna Steen, Nick Dunkelberger, Colton McDaniel, Riley Clark, Brody Miller, and Brayden Cambier.
