Tea Area Schools enhance Music Program with new ukuleles thanks to Tea Area Community Foundation grant

Pictured above are students from Tea Area Schools proudly holding ukuleles they were able to purchase thanks to a generous grant from the Tea Area Community Foundation. These new instruments will be used to enhance the district’s vocal music program, providing students with hands-on learning opportunities that foster creativity and musical skills.

Back in 2019, several ukuleles were initially purchased with the help of a grant. However, as the Tea Area School District has grown, the need for additional instruments became apparent to ensure that each student could have one.

Thanks to the continued support from the Tea Area Community Foundation, this need has now been met, allowing for a more comprehensive and engaging music education experience.

If you attended a recent concert, you may have had the pleasure of hearing these ukuleles in action, showcasing the talents and enthusiasm of the students.

The commitment of the Tea Area Community Foundation to initiatives like this underlines their dedication to the welfare of the community. This effort exemplifies the foundation’s role in making a positive impact on the lives of local residents and addressing critical needs.
