High school marching bands from across the region showcased their talents during Saturday’s Festival of Bands in Sioux Falls, and the Tea Area High School marching band marched away with top honors in the Class AAA Parade competition.

The Festival of Bands is one of the premier marching events in the region, drawing more than 25 bands each year. The parade portion kicked off the daylong event, stepping off at 8:30 a.m. in downtown Sioux Falls. Bands performed along Phillips Avenue, where spectators lined the streets to enjoy.

In the parade results, Beresford took first place in Class A, West Central earned top honors in Class AA, Tea Area captured the Class AAA title, and Aberdeen Central claimed first in Class AAAA.
