Tea City Administrator Justin Weiland joined regional leaders on Monday, Aug. 18 for a tour of Lewis & Clark Regional Water System’s treatment plant near Vermillion, along with the construction currently underway on the third and final phase of the facility. The group also visited the project’s wellfield.

Weiland was joined on the tour by officials from Lennox, Sheldon, Luverne, and Madison. It marked the first time Weiland had the opportunity to see the treatment plant and wellfield in person.

Lewis & Clark Regional Water System provides treated Missouri River water to dozens of member communities, including Tea, helping meet growing demand for reliable and high-quality water across the region.
