Jaden Schumacher is stepping into a breakout season with the release of his newest single, “My Hometown,” which dropped April 23, 2026.

The song serves as a tribute to Schumacher’s small-town upbringing, highlighting the people, places and everyday moments that helped shape him. With its message centered on appreciating life’s simple moments, the track reflects the values he says were instilled during his childhood in Tea.

“Growing up in Tea meant seeing what small-town life, kind-hearted and honest people, and great work ethic are daily,” Schumacher said. “This is what shaped me as an artist and has gotten me to where I am today.”

Schumacher said memories of a simpler time in Tea played a direct role in writing “My Hometown.” He recalled when the community was smaller, with just one stoplight and a handful of local businesses.

“There are so many people. places, and memories from living in Tea which inspired me to write ‘My Hometown’. When I was a young boy, Tea used to be a one-stoplight town with just a few small stores,” said Schumacher. “I also recall when I was young, my friends and I would go to the park to play and then go to B&G Milky Way or Get N Go for a treat before going home just in time for supper. What has shaped me most into who I am today is growing up working on a farm which has instilled the great work ethic I have inside me. I may have moved 1,000 miles away to chase my dreams, but I will always be proud to be a small-town boy from Tea, SD.”

Momentum in Schumacher’s career continued to build as he reached a major milestone with his first arena performance April 24 at the Viaero Wireless Center in Kearney, Nebraska.

Adding to what is shaping up to be a landmark year, Schumacher has also been selected to perform at the Country Stampede, celebrating its 30th year in Bonner Springs, Kansas in June. He is slated to kick off the three-day festival, sharing the lineup with country music standouts including Zach Top, Rascal Flatts, Scotty McCreery, Tracy Lawrence, Wyatt Flores and Diamond Rio.

Despite his rising profile, Schumacher said staying grounded remains a priority.

“I stay grounded by staying true to myself and releasing authentic country music to help others the way music helped me throughout my life,” he said.

Schumacher credits a wide range of musical influences growing up, including legends like Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks and Toby Keith, along with pop and 1980s rock.

“It’s funny because I did not even like country music until about seventh or eighth grade. In junior high, I would ride to school with my older brother who would immediately turn the radio on to Big Country 92.5,” said Schumacher. “I would always try to change the station to something else, but it would always get redirected back to 92.5. As time went on, I quickly turned into a country music fan.”

Looking ahead, Schumacher has ambitious plans for the remainder of 2026, including touring with major artists and working toward the release of his first full-length album.

“My mission is simple,” he said. “To deliver honesty through music, move crowds, and leave people excited for more.”
