Tea to co-host 16U State Baseball Tournament this weekend

The Tea Baseball Association’s 13U, 14U and 16U teams wrap up their seasons this weekend at their respective state tournaments. The 13U team is headed to Brookings and 14U will play in Pierre. Tea, along with Harrisburg and Renner, is tri-hosting the 16U State Tournament. Twelve teams from across the state are competing in this age group.

Tea will hold games Friday (5 p.m./7:30 p.m.), Saturday (10:30 a.m./1 p.m./3:30 p.m./7:30 p.m.) and Sunday (9:30 a.m./Noon). Harrisburg is the site of the Championship game, which will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Titans have three pool play games at home — Friday at 7:30 p.m. against Brookings, Saturday at 10:30 a.m. against Yankton and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. against Rapid City 320.

The Tea Baseball Association enjoys hosting tournaments in Tea as a way to showcase the community and athletic facilities. Tournament attendees also provide a boost to the local economy. Thank you to the business community for supporting this event.
