Titan basketball team wins University of Wisconsin Team Camp Championship

The Tea Area High School boys basketball team flexed their muscles this offseason by capturing the championship at the University of Wisconsin Team Camp last week.
Competing Wednesday and Thursday against teams from multiple states, the Titans put together an undefeated four-game run to claim the tournament title.
Tea Area opened the championship bracket with a convincing 71-38 victory over Pecatonica, Illinois, in the Sweet 16 before advancing to the Elite Eight with a 68-40 win over Waukesha East, Wisconsin.
In the Final Four, the Titans faced a tougher test against Roncalli Catholic, Nebraska, but came away with a 64-55 victory to earn a spot in the championship game.
Tea Area completed its championship run with a 67-51 win over Burnsville, Minnesota, securing the team camp title.
The championship showcased the Titans’ balanced play throughout the tournament, as they defeated opponents from Illinois, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Minnesota.
Members of the championship-winning team are pictured above and included Grifin Wiebenga, Gavin Shawd, Teddy Kettelman, Tate VanLaecken, Lane Sieber, Mitch Grant, Blake Lundin, Adam Berglund, Gavin Glover, Lucas Randall and Max Bengford.
The summer camp provided valuable competition against out-of-state programs as the Titans continue preparing for the upcoming high school basketball season.
