Titan girls defeat Dell Rapids, Brookings

On Friday, Dec. 15 the Tea Area High School girls’ basketball team took on Dell Rapids and jumped out to an early 28-6 lead and never looked back, winning 68-26. 

Leading the Titans were Katie Vasecka and Mara Grant with 22 and 21 points respectively. Vasecka hit three from downtown in the game and had five rebounds, five assists and two steals. Grant went ten of 11 from the field and grabbed six rebounds, had four assists and three steals. Ellie Clayberg finished with 11 points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal. Haidyn West had nine points, three rebounds, and three assists. Anna Binde finished with six points and Reese Hammerquist provided one point, four rebounds, and one steal. 

The Titans hosted Brookings on Tuesday, Dec. 19 and won 75-37. They were scheduled to take on Brandon Valley on Thursday, Dec. 21.
