Titan girls head into SoDak 16

The Tea Area High School girls’ basketball team ended their regular season with a 65-39 loss to Sioux Falls Washington on Feb. 24.

Tea Area trailed early and were unable to battle back. For the Titans, Natalie Gass scored ten points, had one rebound and one assist. Jayna VanLaecken finished with nine points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal. Ellie Clayberg also scored nine points in the game, hitting three three-pointers. Both Anna Binde and Emma Lingren scored five points and Jaycie Babb finished with one point. Babb and Binde had two steals each while Grace Bialas added two assists. 

The Titans enter the postseason as the number eight seed. They will take on ninth seeded Harrisburg on Friday, Mar. 6 in the SoDak 16 match-up which is set to tip-off at 7 p.m. at the Tea Area High School gym. The winner will punch their ticket to the State AA Tournament.
