Titan Spirit: King Eimers and Queen Deckert to reign over Homecoming festivities



Monday night Tea Area High School held their annual Coronation ceremony. The evening opened with the young Titan Coronation carriers, they included: Finley Collins, Behr Smith, Collyns Foxhoven, Brayton Underberg, Rory Westhoff, and Kenzie Miller.

Entertainment was provided by the High School Concert Choir, High School Band, Football Cheerleaders, the TAHS Dance Team, and a vocal selection by Chylee Thompson and Mrs. Gilbert. The coaches from the fall sports spoke to the crowd and recognized the Seniors on each team.

The highlight of the night was the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen by last year’s royalty Kennedy Konrad and Austin Lake. Crowned the 2021 King was Connor Eimers, son of Jeramie and Kristi Eimers. Crowned the 2021 Queen was Brooke Deckert, daughter of Beth Deckert. Other Royalty candidates for 2021 include Ryan Del Monaco, son of Heather Del Monaco; Grace Stansbury, daughter of Corey and Sara Stansbury; Jeff Worth, son of Cory and Jill Worth; Cassidy Gors, daughter of Duane and Karla Gors; Cael Lundin, son of Bob and Stephanie Lundin; Kaitlin Kuhnert, daughter of Mike and Amy Kuhnert; Jaxon Weber, son of Josh and Tasha Weber; and Rujeen Shibly, daughter of Zuzan Selman.

Homecoming week festivities wrap up this weekend.

The Tea Area Homecoming Parade will take place on Friday, September 24 at 1:30 p.m.

Parade line-up will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Tea Area Middle School parking lot. Please use the far west entrance. Parade line-up will occur in the order in which floats arrive.

Participants and spectators should note that candy may be thrown from walkers on all streets except on Cole. Participants are asked to not throw candy from moving vehicles. School administration is requesting participants not throw candy on Cole Ave. as the TASK students will be sitting along this street.

Following Friday afternoon’s parade the Sports Boosters Fundraiser Tailgator will take place Friday at 4:30 p.m. until halftime at the Middle School Parking Lot. The Titan Football game vs Watertown will kick-off at 7 p.m.
