Titan wrestlers find success at Mid-Dakota Monster Tournament

On Tuesday, Jan. 2 the Tea Area High School wrestling team hosted West Central and Lennox. The Titans won the head-to-head with Lennox, defeating them 59-17 but lost the head-to-head with West Central, 42-27. 

Over the weekend, the  Titans competed in the Mid-Dakota Monster and Bride Tournament. The Titans boys finished sixth out of 29 teams and the girls (all three of them) finished 15th out of 34 teams.

Claiming Championship titles were Tyler Woodring at 120 pounds and Sam Werdel  at 175 pounds.

Capturing second place was Brianna Johnson at 185 pounds. 

Fourth place honors went to Parker Wilson at 138 pounds, Jackson Tschetter at 150 pounds; Dawson Eimers at 165 pounds; and Gavin Van Emmerik at 285 pounds. 

Austin Eimers claimed sixth place at 144 pounds and Carson Lohr took seventh at 157 pounds.
