Titans boys fall to Harrisburg on the road

The Tea Area Titans boys’ soccer team battled the Harrisburg Tigers to a 0-4 loss on Saturday, Aug. 22.
The Titans and Tigers played to a scoreless first half, with both teams showing strong defensive play and physicality throughout the opening 40 minutes. Harrisburg’s speed in its front line created challenges for the Tea Area defense, while the Titans continued to press and look for opportunities offensively.
Tea Area goalkeeper and the Titans’ defensive unit helped keep the Tigers off the scoreboard through the first half. The teams entered halftime tied 0-0.
The second half continued in much the same fashion, with both teams battling for possession and looking to generate scoring chances. Harrisburg eventually broke through with a goals, giving the Tigers a 4-0 advantage.
The Titans’ match-up against Brookings scheduled for Aug. 20 was postponed to due inclement weather. The team was scheduled to face off against Yankton on Aug. 25 and will host Sioux Falls Roosevelt on Tuesday, Sept. 1. The boys’ varsity is scheduled to kickoff at 7 p.m.
