Titans defeat Roosevelt, 15-0

On Thursday, May 8 the Tea Area High School softball team took on Sioux Falls Roosevelt and earned a 15-0 victory in three innings. 

Kalli Boom collected three hits in four at-bats to lead the Titans. She singled in the second and singled twice in the third. 

The Titans scored one run in the first, six in the second and eight more in the third. 

In the big eight run inning, Preslie Benning singled, scoring one run. A wild pitched scored another run. Ava Opland singled, to bring a run across home plate. Allie Wallum tripled, scoring two runs. Boom singled, scoring one run and Abby Boom doubled, scoring two runs in the inning. 

Kaylyn Hall pitched all three innings. She gave up one hit and zero runs. She recorded five strike-outs and walked none. 

On Thursday, May 15 the Titans are scheduled to take on the Rapid City Stevens Raiders. They will play Spearfish on Friday, May 16 and be at Yankton on Monday, May 19.
