The Tea Area High School boys’ golf team earned a sixth-place finish out of ten teams at the ESD Conference Tournament on Monday, Sept. 29.

Leading the way for the Titans was Landon Baker, who shot an even-par 71 to secure seventh place individually. Quentin Maag followed with a 74, good for 15th overall. Other varsity scores included CJ Slack with an 80, Gavin Shawd 81, Blake Lundin 84, and Sawyer Slack 85.

With their consistent play throughout the season, all six Titan golfers have met the state-qualifying standard of maintaining a scoring average of 92 or below.

The six will now prepare for the Class AA Boys State Golf Tournament, scheduled for Oct. 6-7 at Meadow Brook Golf Course in Rapid City.

The State AA Tournament is a two-day, 36-hole event with each golfer playing 18 holes Monday and Tuesday. Tee times begin at 9 a.m. each day, and live scoring updates will be available through Golf Genius using code 25SDBOYSAA.
